City Variant Generator
What it does
The City Variant Generator creates geo-targeted AI-ready pages for the top US metro areas — all from a single parent entity. Each variant inherits your parent’s optimized content and adapts it with city-specific context, structured data, and local schema.
How it works
- Navigate to any entity and open the City Variants tab.
- Choose a preset: Top 10, Top 25, or Top 50 US metros.
- Click Generate. Each variant is created as a child entity with a slug like
/parent-slug/city-state. - Variants include city-adapted content, localized FAQs, and city-specific JSON-LD schema.
- Export all variants at once using Multi-format Export.
Presets
| Preset | Cities | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| Top 10 | 10 largest US metros | ~5 credits |
| Top 25 | 25 largest US metros | ~12.5 credits |
| Top 50 | 50 largest US metros | ~25 credits |
URL structure
Variants follow the pattern {parentSlug}/{city-state}. For example, if your parent entity is plumbing-repair, the New York variant would be plumbing-repair/new-york-ny.
Best practices
- Optimize your parent entity first — variants inherit its quality.
- Use the National Authority Builder on the parent for maximum coverage.
- Export and publish variants to your CMS in batch using Multi-format Export.
- Each variant has its own Answerable v2 score — audit individually if needed.
